Richmond Football Club (Rugby) desperately needed to look at their branding and design materials in order to attract new sponsors. As a London based team with a proud history they needed to present themselves in a way that honoured that legacy and showcased the professionalism of their organisation. The logo was recreated with minor adjustments made to improve clarity and guides created with some well defined rules on use to ensure consistent use across all media.
I took visual cues from the flag motif to create a grid system in the design to pull everything together visually for layout while allowing plenty of flexibly in design. We introduced new designs fo the Members Fixture Booklet, Sponsor Handbook and campaign materials. The rebrand had a monumental impact on the club and was well received. It allowed the executives to approach new sponsors with confidence and present a united front to their community.
